Factory reset of Ultra now can't install transmission
Hi
I've just spent the better part of the whole day today trying to reinstall Transmission, after I had done a factory reset of my Ultra 2 on the newest firmware 4.2.26, and now regretting having done so!
The factory reset has gone fine. I now add the latest version of Transmission v2.82. Again, installs fine. But now I always seem to be getting 'Transmission service failed to start'. I've tried everything I can think of, looked in settings.json and edited download-dir & incomplete-dir. The original had "/var/local//Downloads". As it happens my download share is called 'downloads' with a small 'd'. So I tried changing that, then I tried changing to '/c/downloads', then I even tried creating a 'media' share (since that was the original check in the instructions, if such a share wasn't already in place')
Guys, I am well and truly stuck!
And I'll be wanting to download some torrents very soon, Winter is coming, don't you know!
Any help very much appreciated.
thanks
valmiki.
