How to acquire a license for an Ultra 4+?

I have a client with two aging ReadyNAS Ultra 4's, which had been set up at one point to replicate. One of the units ended up getting reset to factory defaults/erased and the license of Replicate has been lost. Unfortunately she has no record of the license information and as best I can tell its no longer available to purchase directly from Netgear. At least all the links I've found have been dead ends. For example:

http://license.buynetgear.com/store?Action=DisplayHomePage&Locale=en_GB&SiteID=netgsoft

Is there any way to get a license for the older ReadyNAS units? Or perhaps contacting Netgear to see if they have this person's license information on file? I am not optimistic about this however. 😐

Replicate was working quite well and I would like to be able to get it working again now that the problem with the unit has been corrected. Any assistance or input would be greatly appreciated!

...and if someone can tell me the product code for the Replicate license that will work with the Ultra series? Is it RN00RPL1-100 or RN00RPL3-100?

Re: How to acquire a license for an Ultra 4+?

you could message cap1 or mdgm, or if you have already factory defaulted and not restored data, you might consider installing the (unsupported) OS6 upgrade (which requires factory defaulting again), however it includes readynas replicate built in (just log in with your existing replicate/remote account).

Re: How to acquire a license for an Ultra 4+?

Its already been "defaulted" and since it was just a destination for a backup of another NAS there was nothing to restore from. I'll PM those two people...and I will look into installing OS6. Thanks for the response!

Re: How to acquire a license for an Ultra 4+?

So another forum member has been helping me with this, and I have a new license key for Replicate. But unfortunately it is not being accepted. The error we get when trying to apply the new license key is:

"Unable to register license: License key of 'No expiry' has been registered and cannot register with any more keys"

So far we have tried using a different browser, clearing the cache (everything actually...cookies, etc), removing and re-adding the Replicate add-on. NOthing works. Its as if this NAS is somehow bound to the license key that it was using prior to the factory default. I've researched this a bit and seems like others have had this problem too, but no solution.

Any other ideas? I have licenses for this NAS but can't seem to apply them. :x
