ReadyNAS remote works great for files management (copy & paste). But, if I try to open a word or excel file (size of 100ko to 500ko for example), it will be either very slow to open or it won't be opened at all (Office timeout).
An answer just received per email from Jeff C. of Netgear:
"It is because those apps are not designed to open a remote file over the WAN and typically expect the data to be on the local host disk and access the data in a very chatty fashion which does not work well over connections with limited bandwidth.
It has nothing to do with Remote, Remote is just a VPN..."
