Problems with MAC Remote's Software, but not on Windows?
We are trying to implement our NAS Storage Solution and we thought about using ReadyNAS Remote to give acces to external users. On my company, we use only Mac software/hardware, and after trying to get working Mac ReadyNAS Remote for a long time (two or three weeks)... we thought "maybe it's not our network... maybe is the Remote's software".
We installed a windows partition with BootCamp to try Windows ReadyNAS Remote on the same computer and same network configuration.... and it worked without problems! (at first try)
Is the MAC software working well for you?, or is it just us?. Is there any solution?
PD: The error that always is given to us is: "Network error, can't connect to SOME_IP ...."

Re: Problems with MAC Remote's Software, but not on Windows?
Yes.
I can login with both versions (Mac and Windows), the difference between both of them starts here (and that's the problem):
* On Mac, when I try to connect to my shared ReadyNAS (I see my NAS once I logged in) it shows me an error saying that "Network error, couldn't connect to SOME_IP..."
* On windows, I can use my NAS without problems, work with my files... in fact, it works as expected.
I must remember that network configuration and the NAS configuration are the same.
FYI, I can't connect with any MAC readynas remote client (work, home...), but I tried two different windows PC and I can do it without problems.

Hi christiangauma, just a thought. Do you have the shares set for SMB/CIFS or AFP?

Re: Problems with MAC Remote's Software, but not on Windows?
I'm using ReadyNAS Remote with my Ultra2.
I installed the ReadyNAS remote client on my MacBook Pro on both MacOS (Lion) and Bootcamp (Win7 64).
I can login and use Remote in both OSes, but the transfer speeds under MacOS are so slow it's really not usable. Once I use windows (either by rebooting in Bootcamp or via Parallels) then transfer speeds go all the way up and it all works great.
