RN104 - 6.10.5 FW

How do I get hold on FW6.10.4 with the hotfix, because the webinterface don't work stable with 6.10.5

Once you manage to downgrade, the hot fix will reinstall itself.

6.10.4 is here: https://kb.netgear.com/000062588/ReadyNAS-OS-6-Software-Version-6-10-4

Extract the firmware from the zip.  Once you get it uploaded, you can reboot from the front panel if you need to.

Re: RN104 - 6.10.5 FW

Thank you for quick answer.

Is it a known issue with FW6.10.5.

I have never had a problem with updates before.

Lots of folks have reported it, but many others haven't run into it. I upgraded a few of my own NAS and haven't seen it.  But I'm holding off on upgrading the rest.

Given the user impact of the problem, I'm very surprised Netgear hasn't pulled the firmware from their update servers until they sort it out.

Me too. I can only presume they're trying to exit the network attached storage market.

Re: RN104 - 6.10.5 FW

I should have read these threads before updating my RN104 to 6.10.5.  My NAS has been prompting me to update from 6.10.4HF1 for the past month.  Just updated the NAS this morning and now I can't stay logged in to the web interface.  *facepalm*

Did you try explicitly including https:// in the path? (https://nas-ip-address/admin - using the real ip address of course).

If that fails, the next thing to try is an OS reinstall - which will reset the admin password back to password.  If that works for you, downgrade to 6.10.4 before you change the password back.
