Hello,
Today my ReadyNAS Pro decided to release the magic blue smoke.
All harddrives remain functional. (they were configured in RAID 6)
Can anybody tell me what underlying system the OS uses so that I can rebuild the array on a PC to recover the data?

Just a power supply failure? Or is there evidence that the system board was damaged?
It is possible to replace the PSU.
It is also possible to temporarily connect an inexpensive PSU outside the NAS using cable extenders. That would let you off-load the files.
But the system board can't be repaired.

The data volume's filesystem is ext. The RAID-6 volume is created by mdadm.
R-Studio is inexpensive, and can be used to access your data volume on either a Windows PC or a Mac.

tried a different PSU, does not help.
mdadm is the info I was looking for.
