ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Hi,

We have a number of ReadyNAS devices deployed (Pro 6 x2, Ultra 4 x2 and Ultra 2 x 4, Duo 2 v2 x 2) and all suffer the same issue.

None of the users can log into these devices (which are all at different locations and with different users) using ReadyNAS remote. The readyNAS desktop application logs the user in, but we now don't get the connected to 'ReadyNAS name'

This issue seems to have occurred at the same time ReadyDrop was released. Prior to this, all the devices (10 in total) were working perfectly and nothing has changed other than Netgear 'appearing' to make some sort of change.

Regards

Martyn

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Are you using the latest version of the client app? Are you using Windows/Mac OS X?

Is the firmware on your NAS units up to date?

On the Ultra/Pro units do you have the latest version of the ReadyNAS Remote add-on installed?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Hi,

All Duo v2's are using 5.3.6 and the latest ReadyNAS remote app

All Pro's and Ultra's are on 4.2.22 with the latest ReadyNAS remote app.

All was working ok with these, but i have noticed with my 3 servers that connectivity was intermittent (i.e. I could log in but not onto the server) but have only just got the chance to sit down and look into it

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Hi,

Yes, didn't phrase my response at 12:42 correctly. It should say Client and not App

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

I've sorted this issue, although why I had to go round every ReadyNAS and reset the p2p connection to re-register the ReadyNAS with the ReadyNAS remote servers is beyond me

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Hi There,

I seem to have the same issue on my NV+ Last time this happened I updated firmware and software - worked for three weeks. Now, since Readydrop released, The connect to readynas shows empty. How does one reset the p2p connection on a readynas?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Have you tried rebooting the NAS? Do you have SSH access?

Yes, have rebooted after latest firmware update (4.1.10). I haven't tried an SSH login before.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Can you download your logs (status > logs > download all logs), extract the zip contents and PM the contents of network_settings.log to me?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Thanks for that. I can see the p2p network connection.

Perhaps go to https://IP.ADDRESS.OF.NAS/REMOTE/ then go to Advanced Settings and click the Restart P2P button.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

I receive an HTTP 404 - page not found. Raidar can connect without issue.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

Okay. Didn't realize this was the same as accessing through Frontview. It made no difference.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote - No Log into Server

My bad. I tried again a short while after and it's up.
