phpMyAdmin complains about mcrypt not being installed

Hello,

I noticed that phpMyAdmin (from WhoCares) complains that mcrypt is missing (from PHP addon of WHocares)

I cannot fixed with apt-get because the dependency are not the same.

Also what is the admin login? I tried root admin with my passwor without success? and id do not see the " New: Access level configuration from within Frontview "

How should that be fixed?

Thank you.

    What model ReadyNAS is this?

What version of the PHP add-on?

What version of the PHPMyAdmin add-on?

Have you checked to make sure the mcrypt module is enabled in the PHP add-on configuration (e.g. in Frontview under Add-ons > Installed > PHP5 if this is on your Ultra)? If it's not enabled it, enable it (don't forget to click Apply).

Sounds like your PHP add-on is out of date. Can you try the latest version of the add-on?
  • actually i messed up between php from Whocares and SuperPoussin MyphpAdmin.

I updated php and unstalled PromyphpAdmin then installed Myadmin from whocares.

The problem is that I do not see the Use and Configure buttons in the Addon and I still cannot login because I do not know the default Admin password. Help please !

Try clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files in IE), close your web browser then reopen Frontview.
  • Ok after some mysql lines I manage to connect as root. and a clear cache indeed resolve the button issue.

Everything seems to works. I just have a complain of phpmyadmin which said that the phpMyAdmin configuration storage is not complete.
