I did some searches and came across these...
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=53926&p=323874&hilit=minecraft#p323874
Would love for an easy plugin to be created so I can start/stop or run commands of some sort to host a minecraft server om the readynas.
http://www.minecraft.net/download
I would gladly pay for this 😄

If you want to run the server on any other OS or without GUI it's a bit more involved (see this wiki article for a tutorial). First make sure you can use java from the command line. On Linux and Mac OS X this should already be set up but on Windows you might have to tinker with the PATH environment variable. Download and run minecraft_server.jar (621 KB) with java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui.
I would gladly pay for this 😄

Re: [super-poussin] Minecraft server
Well, I'd be interested as well. But I only do own a ReadyNAS Duo ...
So, I assume that it might not be possible to run Minecraft on that device.
Can anyone comment on that, please?

Re: [super-poussin] Minecraft server
The Duo (v1 at least) can't run Java, so it couldn't run Minecraft.
(If you bought your Duo around your Oct. 2010 join date, then you certainly have a V1.)

Actually x86 Ultra Line is insufficent as well, to get lag free experience.
Only x86 Pro series would have sufficent horsepower to run it with satisfying performance.
