if you can help :
1) plug your usb cam to your nas and paste on this forum the model , and the dmesg message
2) if you have an ip camera post the model and the url to capture the stream like ;

Yes, the third link only takes a snapshot 🙂
I've connected the following two USB cameras as well:
Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks:
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
PlayStation Eye:
usb 1-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
usb 1-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Not that much information in the dmesg output though.

Re: [super_poussin] request webcam security soft
I haven't tried yet. And would take awhile to do, many different modules for diff webcams. With the GPL sources available, people should be able to make them also.

Hi
This addon sounds very useful, so I´m just interested in when [super_poussin] and chirpa thinks it will be available?

Re: [super_poussin] request webcam security soft
With super-poussin's current setup, I'd imagine network IP cameras right now only, not USB webcams. Would need to compile kernel modules for webcams, that is a lot more work, as there are many out there using different drivers.

Re: [super_poussin] request webcam security soft
How's the development on this going on. I'm just building a new house and would like to implement a ip-cam solution for surveillance.
