Re: How to Disable remote login

the 192.168.1.1 isn't remote access. Its local access meaning on your network.

Remote access is access external to your network.

   Is that accurate?  Firmware version?

   Define "remote".

What makes you think that your "my phone" is "remote" when you're
"using my phone with wifi"?  Or that any "remote" device could
communicate with your router at a private address like "192.168.1.1"?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for "Remote
Management".

Then, using your cellular-telephone data connection rather than a
wireless connection to your own router, try again.

Re: How to Disable remote login

Right,  I mistakenly said "Remote Access"

I have a linksys router and I can block admin access via wifi, so, how do I do this on the R6230?

   Thanks for the detailed description.

Not an option which I've seen on any Netgear router.  The "admin"
password is the only restriction I've seen.
