RBS50 vs. RBW30
I've been using an Orbi RBR40 router with two RW-30 satellites for a few years. My wired speed is 330Mbps but the speed at my PC in the same room as one of the satellites is about 120. Question: if I replace a RW-30 (wall plug) satellite with an RBS-50 satellite (with ethernet ports) and connect it via ethernet to my PC, can I expect reasonably higher speeds?
I tried asking this question at Netgear tech "support" -- repeatedly asking for just a ballpark estimate of how much faster speeds I could expect -- but the rep just kept repeating only that she couldn't give me an "exact" number (which I wasn't asking for) and that there was "a possibility that the speeds would be higher." She also added several times (unhelpfully) that it wouldn't be as high as the 330 I get when I device is wired directly to the router (duh).
Can anyone provide anything more helpful? Thanks.
