Good morning, I just ended up changing back to my Arris Sb8200 and WNDR4500v3 to get away from the Xfinity rental. My internet plan is at 200mbps, my wired connection at the router is just over 200 most of the time but my wireless 5 connection is around 100 sitting right next to the router. I have looked through the router settings and cannot seem to find anything out of place that could be affecting this. My nearest neighbor is about 800ft away and I never had this problem with the Xfinity router. Any one have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thank you.
2.4 mode - Up to 450mbps (Auto channeling)
5 mode - Up to to 450mbps (153 channel)
QoS off
Firmware 1.0.0.58 (Didn't want to use the "new" hotfix firmware)

1. you won't get much more than 40-50mbps out of the 2.4ghz if even that
2. the 5ghz might get you faster speeds. Try a factory reset and only change the ssid during setup. Leave everything else stock. Then test its speeds. Its doubtfull through as when that router was tested (10 years ago), it barely hit the 100mbps speeds.

That router is going on a decade old so its not going to be the fastest.

Re: WNDR4500v3 wireless throttling
Okay thank you. I knew it was dated but figured it would still at least hit around 200. I wasn't sure if I had missed something settings wise within it. I will see how well it works with all the devices on the network and upgrade it if I need to. Thank you again.
