6.5.0 where are my files from Home folder of Readycloud username?

Hi,

After doing the transition, I can now access readycloud and shares with MyNetgear login. This is working fine. But before doing the transition, I had files in the home folder of my Readycloud username. Now the username changed to MyNetgear-email and there is no more files in the Home folder. How can I get back my files that was with my old Readycloud username? If I create a local username with the same name as before, would I get it back?

I was expecting a smoothless transition.

Re: 6.5.0 where are my files from Home folder of Readycloud username?

Thank you for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, there is no more the folder with the username I had with readycloud inside the Home folder when I log with admin account. I have all local accounts listed plus admin, plus the new MyNetgear email, which is empty. I guess it's gone then? 😞

Thank you again for your help. I appreciate it. Unless you have a better solution, you can close this.

If you login as the local admin user can you see the files? If so, copy the files to your PC, logout, login as the ReadyCLOUD user and copy the files back to your home share.

Unfortunately the data is gone. This is one reason why backups are important...
