Access Denied on Password Protected Shares
Hi All, I have a new ReadyNAS NV+ v2. I have a few shares on them, and decided it was time to start to secure it up. So I added a couple of users, and passwords to the shares.
All my clients are all a mix of Win 7. ANd when I access: \\nas\share and enter: nas\username & password it tells me "access denied" and gets me to try again.
I have seen this, and it was already set on my computer: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/share/why_am_i_not_able_to_access_readynas_share_that_is_password_protected_with_vista
as the username, I have tried:
ip.add.rre.ss\username
nas\username
nas\root
nas\admin
root
admin
username
Any ideas?
(I only have Win 7 clients, so cant try with XP or anything else).
thanks
Greg

Re: Access Denied on Password Protected Shares
Open FrondEnd and check if your user name select Read/Write in Shares.

please run command "net use * /d" in windows 7's cmd, then try to access your NAS again.
