Hi, I have been searching all over, but can't quite seem to find the answer for the scenario I am trying to implement. I am trying to backup data from a Linux server onto my NV+ - sort of an off-site backup if you will, of the data from my Linux server. Is there a way to setup rsync over SSH to do an incremental backup that way on the NV+ on a specific schedule? Any help will be appreciated!
Rsync isn't meant to be used for incremental backups. You may want to look into tools like duplicity which do what you want but have to be installed and configured manually on the ReadyNAS.
Thank you for your prompt response! Can we install duplicity on the NV+ or will I have to enable SSH etc.? Will I be able to get an initial full backup and then start the incremental?
