Backup between two ReadyNAS units on same network
Folks,
I am trying to automate a back up one ReadyNAS unit to another over my house network. After searching some of the documentation, I decided to set up an Rsync backup. I have configured the ReadyNAS 312 to reach into the Pro 2 unit for a backup of a single folder (with subfolders). In the backup details, I have the IP, source etc. populated, and did a "test connection" to ensure it could see the Pro 2 unit. The first backup (that night) was successful (via the log entry) but every backup since then has failed (the backup is set for once a week operation). The error I receive in the log details is as follows (I believe it is the same error for each log entry) :
Backup Job Type: Incremental
Protocol: rsync
Backup Source: [remote:rsync]/192.168.1.9::backup
Backup Destination: [Backup]/
Backup Start Time: Sat Jul 9 2016 16:31:38
Backup Finish Time: Sat Jul 9 2016 16:31:57
Backup Status: Fail: failure during copy.
'rsync' command returns rc=5888

Re: Backup between two ReadyNAS units on same network
This looks like a file permissions problem.
Try resetting the permissions for all files in the share on both the RN312 and the pro-2 (on the pro-2 it should be on the "advanced options" tab for the share).
If that fails, try copying the jpg somewhere else, and delete it from both the source and the backup, and run the backup again.
