Can't print using ReadyNAS duo
I just purchased a ReadyNAS Duo and I'm having trouble using the print server. I am using windows XP SP2 on both my desktop and laptop and have an HP Officejet G55. Connecting and discovering the printer to the ReadyNAS was no problem. I used the apple Bonjour application on the desktop and laptop and they discovered the printer no problem but I am unable to print anything to the printer. I can see the print jobs in the readyNAS print queue and then go away as if the print job was successful. Is there anything that I am missing?

- hanko_pankoAspirantVery much the same here. I installed an Epson R800 and all seems well. The printer is visibe and connected but it doesn't print and it doesn't report any errors.
Any clues? - boatheadAspirantI am having the same problem with my HP Office Jet G55, I have tried several options all to no avail: hooking up locally through my network, tried bonjour(nothing happened with that), setting up the IPP thingy, no dice.
I would like to be able to access the printer from my wireless connection through the Ready NAS
I am currently running XP Pro 64 bit edition.
Any help is appreciated.
Paul - sjgilbertAspirantI am having the same problem in that I can't print to a printer attached to the ReadyNAS Duo wirelessly upon logging into the computer. The only thing that I've found to work is to log into the Duo as one of the users at \\ReadyNAS_address_or_name\ and then print. I'd like to figure out how to access the printer without logging into the Duo first. Any ideas from the experts? Thanks in advance.
-Steve - monakhAspirantI have the same problem with my Samsung ML-2010 attached to my ReadyNAS Duo. Surely, this has been seen before and there must be a solution or, at the very least, a workaround! I just cannot print.
Edit: The funny thing is that I don't see the job in the print queue but I do hear the printer come alive, make some noise and power back down. This is the first time only, any subsequent jobs sent don't result in the same behavior. Nothing gets printed. - monakhAspirantSome of you may want to try the solution here. It didn't work for me though:
faq.php#I%27m_having_printing_problems_on_over_Windows_XP._What_can_I_do_to_get_printing_to_work%3F - latitudehopperAspirantI am having this problem also. Tried logging in with no luck. Printer (Canon ip4200) found via Bonjour on OSX, installed with Open Gutenprint drivers. When i click print it sends then returns this error
Error Number : 300 The printer does not respond. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer.
Any ideas?
Cheers!
EDIT: should point out, it is on, plugged in etc etc. - latitudehopperAspirantOK, fixed now.

How did you fix it? - DaveowilliamsAspirantI'm having the same problem. Have connected a canon LPB3200, everything appears to connect okay but nothing prints. Looking at the print queue in front view gives the following error
error in evaluation table display usbp [object error]
This is just another problem I'm having with this thing - so far vey unimpressed - mapofeAspirantHope it helps and that you can read german.
This guy seems to have found a solution.
