Cannot Delete Share "It Is Being Used By Another Application. (Fvbackup)"

Receiving this error message when trying to delete a specifik Share "Cannot delete share. It's being used by another application. (fvbackup) Code: 1004010902". I've cleared all the permissions on the Share. Share is empty. No backup-job. Made reboot several times. No luck. Any solution for this?

Did you purchase (new) between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2016?  If so, you have lifetime chat support for your NAS - that's probably the quickest way to resolve this.

Re: Cannot Delete Share "It Is Being Used By Another Application. (Fvbackup)"

This happened to another poster about a year ago - it turned out to be a flag somewhere that falsely indicated a backup job was running.

I don't think that's something you can easily fix yourself.

Are you running 6.7.5 firmware?  If not, you might want to install that and see if it's been addressed over the last year.

Alright, I'm running FW: 6.7.5

So problem seems still to be there.

I've forwarded this to some folks in Netgear, hopefully they can provide some help.  In the meantime, perhaps just leave the empty share.
