External HD connected to USB slot
I have x2 external HD caddies. These are desktop with their own PSUs. WD Greens are installed in these (2GB)
Problem: I can connect both ext HDs to either USB slot at the rear, but not both together.
Caddie #1 will operate in either slot individually. Caddie #2 will operate in either slot individually. But if I try to use both, in any order, neither appear in the admin interface.
Also, the USB does not seem to accept hot insertion of either disk. Only a power cycle will detect the USB connected devices.
All I need these ext devices for are Backups.
Is this a product 'feature' or foul?

Re: External HD connected to USB slot
There are some USB fixes in 6.6.1 beta: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Beta-Release/ReadyNASOS-6-6-1-T200-Beta-1/m-p/1172692#U117...

Re: External HD connected to USB slot
I find the quality of ReadyNAS firmware to be extremely poor.
Fixes appearing in new releases, only for a myriad of new problems to appear. Attempting an update to a beta firmware is a definite no go in my opinion.

Hi IanLinwood,
I apologize for what you have experienced thus far. Hopefully the official firmware with the fix gets released soon.
