External storage device is connected but the file system is not recognized.

Hi all,

I had a client update their NAS to version 6.4.0 and now they are getting : System: External storage device is connected but the file system is not recognized.

This error occurs after a external HDD is pluged in. The backups however, work as they should(data is written on the drives)

Any ideas?

Since the USB hard drive has been detected, can you confirm if the files from the USB are accessible on the ReadyNAS? Kindly provide details about this external hard drive (Brand, Model and Capacity) and tell us if you have tried another one.
