Help for home folders and sharing connections

RN314- OS 6.2.4 Windows 7 Pro

So far, I have not created any additonal user accounts and only have "admin".

The home folder for "admin" is viewable from the Shares tab of the Admin Page.

However, I  am unable as "admin" to upload any files to it, nor does it show up in my Windows File Manager?

Re: Help for home folders and sharing connections

I resolved the problem. I went to the "Access" tab of the "Home Folders" and turned the SMB protocol OFF, then turned it back ON---and ouila', the "admin" subfolder under the "Home Folders" folder appeared and is functional to upload to, and now seen in Windows File Manager as I expected it should.

I'm thinking I may have accidentaly deleted it some months back that I don't remember when I was learning my way around and setting up other share folders.  I simply don't remember, but all is well now.

Re: Help for home folders and sharing connections

Hello Ray2,

Did you create admin account or just the default admin account? You shouldn't because it will conflict with the default one.

And there is no other users that can get in to the admin page but just the admin account even if you have created other user accounts. These other user account are for accessing shares only.

Regards,
