Incremental Backup Fails-attempts to find nonexistent files

Readynas Duo connected to Window7 PC (either via BT Home Hub or via a gigabit switch)
Recently Backups have started to fail. I have done two "full" backup ok but its the incrementals which fail.

I can copy files back and forth using windows share without issue.

Errors seem differnt each time (odd - non deterministic)

Error encountered copying data from remote source path //192.168.1.144/Photos ==> /media//Photos due to unknown reason. Please see log.

cp: cannot open '/job_001//./2002-10-25-waterdropsglass1/DSC00488PGX' for reading: No such file or directory
cp: cannot open '/job_001//./wwwindex/gallery/res/styles.c??' for reading: No such file or directory
cp: cannot open '/job_001//./wwwpublish/Landscapes/Downhill House On l' for reading: No such file or directory

Above is an example of errors.
NAS appears to be looking for files on the source PC which dont exist!

there is no file
/job_001//./2002-10-25-waterdropsglass1/DSC00488PGX

but there are the following files and specifcally a DSC00488.JPG
Anyone any ideas what the reason for the filename corruption might be ?

nas:/job_001# cd 2002-10-25-waterdropsglass1
nas:/job_001/2002-10-25-waterdropsglass1# ls

Any clues as googling is not helping here.

Re: Incremental Backup Fails-attempts to find nonexistent fi

Remove the preceeding "/" in the source path of your backup schemas...

Without removing the preceeding "/", the string is created with two "//" which is a blank-named folder... not good or true...

Re: Incremental Backup Fails-attempts to find nonexistent fi

Thanks Jaime,
dont *think* thats my issue. I have experimented with slash and no slash before without it appearing to make much difference. Where I am now is that this fails randomly (ie not at the same point each time).
Surely if it was just due to the slash it would fail at the same point each time (assuming no new files added to source which is in fact true).

It also appears to be corrupting the filename in some way - there is no file "DSC00488PGX" in that directory regardless of a slash or not.
