Incremental backup, where's the data?

Good day folks, So I have successfuly ran a full backup using the back up built into the NAS to an External USB drive.

Now today I ran another backup which was started from the button on the front and it indicates and incremental backup that completed ok. GREAT

But where is this incremental data? All I saw on the external drive was my backup folder and of course the backed up data. Unlike other BU systems that write a incremental file or folder I don't see anything. My data is current although I didn't bother to note a changed file and then look ffor it later. I guess i'll have to do that.

Any ideas?

Thanks, MIke R

Re: Incremental backup, where's the data?

The web UI backup jobs just update the destination with any new files or changed that are on the source.  They don't do any kind of versioning, and there is no concept of making incremental folders.

Thanksfor the information, we created a document and let that get backed up then made changes to it and verifed the changes were in place after the next incremental.

Were good!
