Management service is offline after 6.4.0 update on ReadyNas 2120

Hi everybody!

I've just updated ReadyNas 2120 to 6.4.0 and having problems with accessing Admin webpage and RAIDar shows Management service is offline.

Accessing files is possible, but very slow.

I've tried reboot and reinstall OS.

The problem is that previous admin have registered product and didn't left any account info.

Solved after 16 hours of booting!

Hi Vasques666,

Let us isolate the problem.  Kindly answer the questions below:

a. Have you tried using other browsers like Firefox or Safari to access the admin webpage?

b. Have you tried using other PC as well to isolate the problem?

c. Do you have a backup of all the data stored in the NAS?

d. What are the apps installed in the NAS?

I have the same problem. I have a 2120 R2 and an older 2120. The older unit got extreemely slow after installing 6.4.0  I have since updated to 6.4.1 but this did not improve anything. The R2 unit is fine with 6.4.0 and 6.4.1. 

On the older (non R2) unit:

Access to admin page is intermittent.

Deleting a single file can take 10 min.

Nearly impossible to browse frolders.

My ReadyNAS 102 has this problem also after upgrading to 6.4.0

Browser has no acces / timeout to the admin page, RaidAir  says "Management service is offline" and the Share are slow and only read only usable.

Any solution?

Better with an factory reset?

aare07 if you have a backup and the time a factory reset could definitely be worth a try. Your system shipped with 6.0.0 and has not been factory reset since then. You would get a clean filesystem including some improvements that are optional but nice to have.
