Nas 104 not been seen by windows 10

Hello I have the following problem that my ready nas is not seen by Windows 10. I can ping the NAS, Is he well served if I can then I 192.168.2.1 in touch in windows explorer not reach him. When I type this in a web browser I get the netgear page, at first glance I can see nothing wrong. He just worked with Windows 8.

What is the problem here, please help.

Problem is solved by the dutch helpdesk. The problem was that is has to with my credentials , i can reach now my nas by typing in 192.168.2.1 not via nas . It;s in ticket #25575099 

They will ask to write an update of the firmware

I had that problem briefly when I first upgraded to Windows 10.

I installed SMBplus on the NAS, then set the SMB version to 2.1.  The problem disappeared.  Then I tried resetting the SMB version to 3.0 - and found I still had access.

I don't know if that actually solved my issue, or if it was coincidence - but there's no harm in trying.

Go to available apps on the web ui.  You'll find it (it is provided by Netgear and is free).

The NAS already supports 3.0 (as does Windows 10).  All you need to do is change the selection in SMB plus back to 3.0.

As I said, this might have been coincidental, and didn't fix anything.  However, my NAS is working well with my Windows 10 desktop.

What NAS firmware are you running???

Have you tried accessing it from the file explorer address bar (\\nasipaddress\sharename)?

Is there any security software running on the PC?  Is the network type still set to private?

Rather than using that workaround for guest access it would be better to disable guest access to your NAS shares and using Windows Credentials Manager to store credentials for the user logging into the NAS.

Noap standard Microsoft Firwall. I turned it off to look if it helps no it did not
