Re: Netgear support not ready to help.
Support has diagnosed that data recovery is needed for your support case. Data recovery inherently may be unsuccessful and support requires the purchase of a data recovery contract before they can proceed to make a data recovery attempt.
Do you have a backup of your data? It sounds like you don't. There are many reasons why you should backup your data some of which are explained in Preventing Catastrophic Data Loss

They also have diagnosed that because of the faulty device the drives had to be replaced once.
Also the raid is curropt because of the faulty device.
The logs clearly show no problems with HDD.
Keeping everything ASIDE.......
i have most of the data backed up & unerased from another harddrive.
Just a few important pictures around 500 and some word excel files is what i need.
I will let go off the all other 5-6 TB of data.
This is very important for my 10 year old kid.
I am not in a position to purchase a recovery plan.
I request you to please help me on the same.

Re: Netgear support not ready to help.
What may/may not be possible causes of your volume entering a data recovery situation are irrelevant. The warranty does not cover data recovery. Data recovery attempts may be completely unsuccessful and generally involve a lot of work by senior experienced support experts.
If backups are maintained properly then data recovery shouldn't ever be needed.
