New Modem, Lost Contact
I bought a new modem and now find I cannot contact my ReadyNAS Duo RND 2150-100 through my Raidar or my ReadyNAS Remote and, although all other items I've rewired into the new modem are working fine on the network, my network no longer finds my ReadyNAS. I've tried rebooting with the ReadyNAS button on the front, to no avail.
Any suggestions on how to get control and contact back would be appreciated.

Re: New Modem, Lost Contact
Had you assigned a static IP address to the NAS? If so, most likely your new modem uses a different range of IP addresses.
If the old modem still works, hook it back up briefly and access the NAS. Then set the IP address to "automatic". After that, re-install the new modem and you should be able to access it again.
There are two other options - do an OS reinstall from the duo front panel (which will reset the address to "automatic" and the admin password to "netgear1"). Or directly connect the ethernet from the NAS to a PC, and temporarily assign the PC a static address that is consistent with your old network.

Thank you for the fast response. I'll get back to you when I get a chance to work one of those suggestions.

Re: New Modem, Lost Contact
The good news is that I've reestablished contact via Raidar, but the bad news is that the fix wiped all data from the disk and I will need to rework the ReadyNAS Remote to get back my remote access. The fun of computing never ends.

Re: New Modem, Lost Contact
So you held the reset button in for roughly 30 seconds (two blinks of disk LEDs) then rather than roughly 5 seconds (one blink of disk LEDs)? StephenB suggested an OS Re-install not a factory default. A factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything).
