No Power Nothing # 20579266
Hi
I installed my NETGEAR RND4000 ReadyNAS NV+ V2 at the end of October and everything was fine. I came home yesterday to find the power light off and the system dead. I unplugged and replugged it, held a paperclip in the reset button at the back and pushed the power button - nothing. It seems completely dead and I don't know why. The system doesn't have to do anything as it really is just a file store for my back up which is not on any schedule. There would have been no operation running at the time.
I have logged a support ticket NETGEAR Online Case # 20579266 but could really do with knowing if my data will still be there. Have it stored on 2 x Western Digital Red 2TB 64MB Cache Hard Disk Drive SATA 6gb/s 7200rpm - OEM.
Thanks for any help

Were you using the power timer? If so, you may have encountered this issue: Duo/NV+ v2 – important u-boot update if using power timer
If this is the case then your disks should be fine and you can migrate them to a replacement unit.

Re: No Power Nothing # 20579266
No my NAS was on 5.3.6 - I think I may have done an upgrade when I installed it at end Oct 2012.
I was not using power timer at all and hadn't adjusted the settings to my knowledge.
Thanks for any help.
