Im looking to buy the RN104 and just had a couple of questions about it. Will this NAS be ok for streaming wirelessly to XBMC? Also is it easy to install packages like SABnzbd+ and Sickbeard?
The NAS has DLNA and is network enabled with sufficient disk speed to stream full HD and probably 4K movies (80-90Mbytes/s in read) so if XBMC is able to read from a DLNA server (or SMB/AFP/FTP...) it should be OK. However if you want to do some transcoding just forget it, the CPU won't handle it. SABnzbd and sickbeard are listed in available apps, so all you need to do is click install. However I haven't tested so I can't say if this installs well and if you have every option you need. I didn't have any problem with transmission, AVplus and bittorent sync, I guess Netgear does some checking before publishing.
