RN314 backup to USB disk: can't access target

Hi there,

I have a problem with very basic backup jobs.

I put up some jobs and added a few of them to the backup-button.

I connect a disk to one of the USB ports. The disk is recognized, and I even can access the folders on the disk within the Readynas "Shares" front end.

But when I push the backup button, or start single backup jobs manually, I get an error message "can't access target" (translated from German, could be calles otherwise with the English front end) and the job fails. When I open the backup job for editing, do something and close it again, and restart the backup job, then it is running on that disk, and also other jobs writing to that disk.

How to help here..?

Thanks and regards

      The firmware is 6.6.1.

In the end I change nothing on the backup job, just opening it, clicking through the tabs and closing it again is enough, to make it run afterwards...

        Hello el_patron,

Which USB port were you using when you got the problem? Have you tried or are you getting the same problem when using other USB ports?
