RNDP2000 hangs after loading initrd

Hi,

I have a problem with a Pro2 unit, I've hooked up the serial console and it's looking like it hangs after loading the initrd, sometimes it reboots and then gets stuck in a boot/reboot loop, other times it just sits there.

I've used the reset buttons to run the memoy checks and thats fine, the other options for FactoryDefault or OSReinstall fail when trying to boot from an external flash device.

I have followed various instructions and managed to boot the unit from a flash drive created using the usbrecovery tool (http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=166) but I get the following error when booting with the backup button pressed.

I've also followed the notes here http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=70446 for trying the new u-boot but the flash drive created when following the notes doesnt work, I think I missed a step but cant work out the correct order.

All I really want is the unit to boot cleanly even if its from a fresh firmware install.

Anyone have any ideas where I might have gone wrong?

I have the exacy same symptons with a Duo V2 given to me from a family member so if I can get them both going it will be great.

Cheers

J
