ReadyNAS 102 can't connect to the ReadyCLOUD server

My windows10 PC is connected to ReadyCloud as attached, but I can't turn on ReadyCLOUD from Admin Page.

Says "Something is preventing the ReadyNas from connecting to the ReadyCLOUD server.

I've rebooted and tried again but got no change.

ReadyNas 102 is displayed on the iPhone(IOS12), but I can't see the files.

Firmware is the newest 6.10.2.

Re: ReadyNAS 102 can't connect to the ReadyCLOUD server

Have you logged into the NAS web admin page, and looked on the cloud page there?  There should be two green checkmarks (one indicating that the NAS can reach the internet, the other indicating that it can reach ReadyCloud).

Also, is the NAS configured to use a static IP address, or is it using the default configuration for the network?

Thank you for your reply.

There is one greencheck mark of internet available.

there is no checkmark that can reach ReadyCLOUD.

IP address is 192.168.0.90, no DHCP.

One common error with static IP addresses is that people forget to configure a DNS server.  So look for that.  You can use a public one ( google is 8.8.8.8; cloudflare is 1.1.1.1 ).  Normally it's good to configure two.

FWIW, I generally recommend that people reserve IP addresses in their router instead of using static addresses - that makes it easier later on if you decide to change to a new router that uses a different subnet (e.g., 192.168.1.x ).

Re: ReadyNAS 102 can't connect to the ReadyCLOUD server

Thank you.

I tried both cases, fixed IP and DHCP.

And added 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1.

I got the same results.

Try clearing the search domain field (which is set incorrectly, but might not be the problem), and then reboot the NAS.

You can also try testing DNS by disabling and then re-enabling "synchronize time with an internet server", and look for NTP errors in the log.  You'll find that on the main system->overview page (click on the settings wheel next to device time).

That shows that DNS is working ok, and confirms that the NAS can reach the internet.

Why it can't reach ReadyCloud is a mystery though.  Maybe try deleting 192.168.0.1 from the DNS list as a test, and see if that makes any difference.

I cleared 192.168.0.1 from the DNS list, but got no change.

Accessing ReadyCLOUD via android aplication,

" There is no device managed by your NETGEAR acount"

But on the ReadyCLOUD home page, my readynas is displayed as attached.

What does it mean?

Re: ReadyNAS 102 can't connect to the ReadyCLOUD server

Only seeing one green checkmark on the NAS means that the NAS can reach the internet, but is not connecting to ReadyCloud.

Using the app right now complicates troubleshooting.  It's best to use the readycloud web site for troubleshooting - and even there, I think trying to download/upload files to the NAS is the right focus - not worrying about the management interface.

What I'd do next is turn off the Readycloud service on the NAS, reboot it, and then turn it on again.

@uekib

Welcome to the Community!

By any chance do you have IPv6 enabled on your NIC? Also, the issue you have might be due to a corrupt configuration on the NAS. Kindly send in the full logs so we can check.

Perhaps try to do an OS-Reinstall as well. Here is a guide to that.

Also, try to leave and rejoin to ReadyCloud after doing the OS-Reinstall. Note that your password will be reset to default again, as well as Network settings.

If you have contract, contacting Support would be the best option so they can get to the config file and fix it.

Upload the zip to cloud storage (dropbox, google drive, etc), and send a downloadable link in the PM.

Don't post the log publicly!  Use the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum page.
