ReadyNAS 102 - ext4 support on one share?

I am using a ReadyNAS 102 with several shares, FW is 6.4.1. I now want to use one share for backup of Raspberry Pi data. The backup script that I want use requires an ext3 or ext4 file system on the share in order to use rsync protocol.

My question: can I install ext4 on the share? The hardware manual does not talk about that.

No, we use BTRFS. There is no option to use a different filesystem for the volume.
