ReadyNAS 214 very slow to write, even locally from USB. (20MB/s)
I have an issue with my ReadyNAS where it is very slow to write to.
I've tried over gigabit ethernet and now, trying to copy files locally from a USB to the drive but it caps out around 20MB/s.
I have a 4 drive raid 0 array (FLEX-raid)
The disk check comes back ok. I've defragged it. That did'nt help. I tried balancing it too. That didn't help either.
What further troubleshooting steps should I take?

Re: ReadyNAS 214 very slow to write, even locally from USB. (20MB/s)
I have printed my partition table in case that helps...? I read that to be 4k aligned the start *and* end sectors had to be divisble by 8, but the end sector isn't. Not sure if that's correct in this instance. I'm a pretty confident commandline user but I don't know much about disk partitioning which is why I'm here.

What disks are you using in the NAS? (and what RAID mode)?

^^ It's raid 0 FlexRAID - or is that not what you mean?
The first two drives are ST4000DM004-2CV104

The second are ST60000DM003-2CY186

Both models are SMR drives (Shingled Magnetic Recording).
Despite the benchmark scores, not a great choice for ReadyNAS. Sustained write speeds can become very slow with SMR.
If you have another drive available to test with, you could try powering down, removing the current drives, and then doing a fresh install with the test disk. Then see what speeds you get..
