Are the replacement drives brand new or have been used?
You probably need to contact support for this.

Re: ReadyNAS 3100 raid restriping stuck at 0%
Do you have a backup of all the data stored in the NAS?
Have you tried to reboot the NAS?
You may isolate the problem by performing a disk test to the replacement disk. You may use either Seagate Sea Tools or the Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows:
http://www.seagate.com/as/en/support/do ... in-master/
http://support.wdc.com/product/download ... =612&sid=3
Otherwise, just like Nhellie has mentioned, you might need assistance from Netgear Support: http://support.netgear.com/general/contact/#tab-call

Re: ReadyNAS 3100 raid restriping stuck at 0%
So it's not just stuck at 0%, it's listed as "dead".
Perhaps first confirm the disk status with RAIDar.
Assuming it also says the disk is dead, then I agree you should start by testing disk 4. I think WDC lifeguard will test hitachi.
Also, it would be good to make/update your backup.
