ReadyNAS 614 says "Volume data is degraded", but no errors in logs or disk reports
4 brand new identical 4TB WD red drives ... occured after initial synching ...
Firmware 6.9.3
Pity Netgear doesn't have a fix for this like Synology.

If you haven't loaded data yet, then the simplest thing to do is to try another factory reset.
Otherwise, can you download the log zip file, and look in mdstat.log? Look at what disks are in each array.
Can you confirm your model? There is no 614. Is the RN316 in the model field correct?
