ReadyNAS NV+ Boot Failure, Case #: 20008170
Am getting boot failure and ERR: Bad Firmwar messages. Tried USB boot but same issue. Absolutely need data on disks and no backup (my fault and lesson learned). Requesting help!
Case #: 20008170
My NV+ showed a corrupt root (bad firmware) and I tried USB boot to no avail. I desp need the data on the ReadyNAS and I don''t have backups. Last time it did show 1.8TB/4.0TB free. Is there anyway I can preserve my data without wiping the whole thing? I know I need to reset my firmware to fix the actual issue, but I''d like to recover any data on the hard drives that were on there.

Re: ReadyNAS NV+ Boot Failure, Case #: 20008170
after i got to right level of support and trying numerous things, the tech eventually telneted to my device and copied data from 1 hard drive to the other hard drive. I was able to recover all my data this way....
inf on my issue is about 3-4 posts down from urs in this forum
