ReadyNAS NVX - Force USB Firmware Install??
Was trying to install firmware and it totally froze on "Booting...". I've tried Factory Default. I've tried OS Reinstall. Nothing works. I've removed the drives and installed a single formatted drive. Same thing.
Question: Can I somehow get it to install the Firmware (4.2.?) from a USB drive? I've installed a USB drive with the firmware, but when I boot with the reset button pressed, I don't get a menu option for USB Boot. I thought it should recognise the USB drive if it's intalled (it's a generic thumb drive that other units see when I plug it in).
Open to suggestions.

That is not the process to do USB Boot Recovery.
There is an article here: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=166
You can replace the firmware included in the zip file with the latest.

Hmmm... when I click on the link I get the message below...
"Error establishing a database connection"
Any ideas? Tried it in a couple of different browsers.
