ReadyNAS RNDP4000 unable to access admin page or via share

For some inexplicable reason, my ReadyNAS Pro 4 can't seem to access the admin page anymore, nor can I reach it through a networked drive path.
RaidAR can see the unit and reports it being healthy, but I can't access the admin page.
I can see the shares from Windows 10, but only the read-only side. If I try to navigate to the share via the previous name or via the local IP address, I receive the error that windows can't access it.
I went ahead and did an OS Reinstall from the boot menu, which has changed the IP address for the device on my local network, but still is not allowing me to access the admin page.
Aside from standard Windows updates, there have been no changes made to my network or home configuration, so I'm at a bit of a loss for what I can do here. I've tried to disable all firewalls to test, tried multiple Internet browsers to test and I'm not sure what can be done. I can ping the IP address for the ReadyNAS, but I'm not sure what's going on with the web interface at all. If I go to the IP address in a browser directly, I can login with the default credentials to access the /shares, but I can't access /admin at all. I get an error that says:
"This site isn’t secure
Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_CN_INVALID"
and if I try to ignore that error, it simply redirects me back. I understand my ReadyNAS is an older unit and I'd love to upgrade to a new one if I can simply install my current drives into a new unit, but that's another question for another time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Enter "turn windows features on or off" in the windows search bar, and then enter the control panel app.
If the SMB 1.0/CIFS client is not enabled, then enable it.

What browser are you using? You will get a certificate warning, though you should be able to click through it.
Also, are you using Windows 10?

I am on Windows 10. I've tried using Chrome, Firefox, Edge and IE. They do all have the option to let me ignore the cert warning. When I click to ignore the warning, it tries to go to the page and then immediately boots me back to the certificate error message in every browser.

Re: ReadyNAS RNDP4000 unable to access admin page or via share
That has happened to me several time. Each time I have been able to mess around with it and get everthing back on track. I would love to tell you what I do, but I am drawing a blank its been awhile. I belive it has to do with the URL. My address bar will say something like "526X", but if I highlight the URL its acutallly "https://XXX.XX.X.X/admin/" under normal conditions. For some reason there is an interaction between the browser, and the web page that changes the "/admin" at the end of the URL to something else. I'm thinking that I manually change the end of the url back to /admin. Anyway thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but sadly, it's something else. I did check the URL to see if it was changing it to something else aside from /admin, but it's staying the same. I went ahead and try allowing all permissions for the URL too, but still no go.

Which firmware are you running (RAIDar would indicate this)?

Are you running an ad blocker? If so, you might try disabling it. Clearing the browser cache is worth a try, though it seems unlikely that would create an issue with four different browsers.
Does https://nas-ip-address/fwbroker respond differently?

RAIDar says I'm running 4.2.30 on my ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus.

I did disable my adblocker on the off chance it was causing it, but the event is still happening with or without it. Trying to go to /fwbroker also gives me the same "NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID" privacy error and if I try to ignore it, it just returns me back to the same error page.

fwbroker doesn't apply then. I was thrown off-track because you mentioned 526X in the address bar (which is an OS 6 NAS).
Do you have a different device you can try using? That could be a mobile device.

I tried using Google Chrome on my Android phone and was able to access both /shares AND /admin without any issues. I'm still unable to access the ReadyNAS via a mapped drive or via /admin in a browser on my PC, however.

Do your PC and NAS have I.P. addresses in the same range?

Yes, they're both physically connected to the same router. Both using internal 192.168.29.x addresses.

This was it! Thank you so much, and thank you to everyone that helped troubleshoot the issue. I wonder if a Win10 update turned it off automatically or something.

Microsoft is deprecating SMB1, since it isn't secure. So they are beginning to remove it.
