ReadyNAS v2 won't start
Hi!
I have a ReadyNAS v2, only the fans are spinning up when I try to boot it.
No leds are on.
Is there a way to solve this issue, or is the NAS dead?

Re: ReadyNAS v2 won't start
First check to see if you actually have a v2:
http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/
Do you have a backup?
If you have a spare disk, remove the existing disks with the power off, labelling them according to slot number; then put a spare disk in and factory default the nas. If this is successful then you will have ruled out most chassis issues.
While the disks are out, test them using vendor tools extended tests. You'll need the right manufacturer's test software and you'll need to connect the disks to a PC.

Re: ReadyNAS v2 won't start
Took a look at the site, It seems to be the V1.
Is that a problem to try the steps?
--
There was not a lot of data on the nas, so I dont have a back-up.

Re: ReadyNAS v2 won't start
Try booting the NAS without the drives, raidar should display "No disk detected". If the raidar still won't detect the NAS without drives, it means there is something wrong with the chassis.

Re: ReadyNAS v2 won't start
Even without disks the NAS won't start.
No lights are on. Only the fan is spinning.
On the sticker it says netgear ReadyNAS Duo RND2000 v2.
The power and disk leds won't turn on.

Re: ReadyNAS v2 won't start
If it is a v1 you can probably retrieve the data from disk 1 using Linux reader:
http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/
Did raidar see the nas when it had no disks?
You can still try factory defaulting the nas using a spare disk:
