ReadyNAS with Amazon Cloud drive and Cryptolocker
Hi,
I am wondering about Cloud Backup of a ReadyNAS using the inbuilt Amazon Cloud Drive App. If the NAS is shared in Windows environment and one of the computers get Cryptolocker. Will the App "sync" the NAS and the Cloud Drive? In other words the Cloud provides no protection if crypto hits?
Thanks

Re: ReadyNAS with Amazon Cloud drive and Cryptolocker
I think there is a way to restore previous versions of the files in AWS, which would allow you to get back the original files.

Re: ReadyNAS with Amazon Cloud drive and Cryptolocker
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I did not choose Amazon S3 but chose Amazon Drive. Does anybody have experience with that system?

Re: ReadyNAS with Amazon Cloud drive and Cryptolocker
Hi,
Amazon Drive has a Deleted files (30 days to recover). I guess what I am saying is:
- sync of folder happily going to Amazon Drive
- Folder gets crypto
- crypto files flow to Amazon Drive
- I hope that existing files in Amazon Drive move to Deleted and can be retrieved
Any experience with that in the community using ReadyNAS built in App?
