ReadyNas 102 and strange disk usage figures !!!
Hi all,
I've a ReadyNas 102/Firmware 6.2.4
I notice something very strange on the disk usage:
From my admin web app :
72GB free of 927GB
From ssh session : df -f
855 GB used / 72 GB free of 927GB
The problem is when I check the usage using "df -h / --max-depth=1" I have only 538GB used for /.
Where are the 317GB?????
I know sometimes DU and DF commands can give different values because inode deallocation can't be made because the file is open by another process. But, I've restart the nas after 6.2.4 upgrade.
Who can give me an explanation?
Jean-Louis

Unfortunatly, I "scrubbed" HD and cleaned the log just after but I did not notice anything wrong inside.

I am ashamed of myself because the root cause is so obsious ==> The snapshots, i remove them and now with "du -h" I retrieve My 300GB.

Re: ReadyNas 102 and strange disk usage figures !!!
Yes, that would be it.
Seeing you've removed your snapshots it would be a good time to run a defrag, then once that is complete run a balance.
If you go to Volumes in the web admin interface then click on the volume you should see the option to run these.

When you finish your defrag, can you please add your info to this post http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=80004 as I have no data for a RN102.
