ReadyNas 104 multiple issues after update

After an update to 6.9.0 I have multiple isses.
I cannot login to the admin console a 2nd time after reboot. Works the first time but then have the "Admin page is Offline" error. I have to physically power down the NAS and then reboot. I am then able to login again.
Also I cannot turn on SMB this mean I has lost most of the use cases for the device.
Any help would be great.

I have disabled plex and now I can get to the admin pages now. But still unable to enable SMB.
I am getting close to looking at alternative NAS.

Which APP did you install?
Could do you please enable SSH in GUI System/Settings?
then login NAS via SSH, username is root, password is admin GUI login password,
check file and folder's permission on your NAS.

Thanks for you constructive reply.
Unfortunatly I have resolved the issue but backing up and clearing the configuration and the restore of the data.
As we had lost our access to music and videos. So needed a quick fix. that took 2 days because of the data involved.
I am hoping this is a one off after 3 years of service.
