ReadyNas 104 slow xfer speed
So I have been noticing that my nas will randomly drop to 100mbps link speed from 1000mbps. What would cause this? It really causes a hassle when trying to xfer larger files to storage

Re: ReadyNas 104 slow xfer speed
Where are you seeing the report of a changed link speed? In the NAS web ui, the router UI or somewhere else?

Test with another Ethernet cable.

If the ethernet link speed is actually changing, then that is the next step. The cable should be cat 5E or better (not cat 5).

You should also make sure the connectors are latched into the socket on both ends.
It could also be a failing port (either in the NAS or the router/switch).
However, it is worth understanding first where the OP is seeing the link speed change.

Re: ReadyNas 104 slow xfer speed
I noticed it in the nas interface. an hour before hand my transfers were steady at 40MB/s
I went to backup some files and it was maxing at 9.8 MB/s.
Rebooted entire network and still had an issue. Swapped out all cables to cat 6 from 5e and everything seemed to stabilize.
