Readynas 1100 Active direcrory option is not found

Hello

My company uses a Redynas 1100 for long ime, it was joined the domain. It had some problem, so I did a factory reset, now it is up and running, but cannot find the option to join the domain. Where this option should be, at the security menu there is no option to join the AD as before. Only local users and groups can be managed. The firmvare is: RAIDiator 4.1.14.

Can anyone help me? How can I join the device to the domain?

Thanks: Miki

Hi,

User manual page 27: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/RAIDiator4-1_SW_en_06Dec11.pdf?cid=gwmng

Select a Security Mode

This procedure applies only to the ReadyNAS NV+ and 1100.

To select a security mode:

1. From the FrontView main menu, select Security > Security Mode.

2. Select either Share, User, or Domain.

I have read the article you mentioned, but there is no Security Mode option under Security menu.

I have searched for this option in the menu structure but couldn't find...

Any suggestion?

Possibly the firmware is confused on the NAS model (treating your system like a Duo).  If so, you will need Netgear support to fix it.

It is a Readynas1100 system and support has ended...

Is it possible to downgrade the firmare?

You can still get per-incident support if you are the original purchaser - even if the warranty has expired.

I think this happened when you reset.  I don't think downgrading the firmware will fix it, but you can try it.

What model are you seeing on the home page?  Model information is stored in an EEPROM in the NAS, and it is possible that information has gotten a bit messed up.

This is what is on the homescreen:

After the factory reset the firmware stayed as it was 4.1.14.

I'll try downgrading to 4.1.13... Will let you know the result...

Hello

Downgade to 4.1.13 did not helped, the oldest firmware I found is 4.1.9 but downgarding to that was useless too.

Any idea how to get back the option to join the device to domain?

Thanks:Miki
