I just bought some memory to upgrade the RNDP6000-100NAS.
It doesn't fit. The DIMM or whatever it's called that was in the NAS is twice as wide as what I wasted money on.
Please advise spec on memory size and pin number, etc. ECC or non ECC, etc. Looks like two slots are available.

not if it doesn't get identified as ecc on those details.
I think only the nas' with 'xeon' cpu get ecc.
528x, 628x and the rack mounts for starters.
legacy devices didnt come with ecc and had basic pentium class cpu's.

I don't have any of the specs your looking for, but if you pulled the existing stick you should be able to identify some kind of brand/model/serial you can search for.
Also you could do an image search too, might help you narrow it down, at least until someone who knows the specs can answer.

Re: Readynas compatible memory (I blew money on useless RAM)
I pulled the one module.
Super Talent T8UB2GC5
DDR2-800
PC 6400
240 pin?
Showing on net as NON ECC. Should it be ECC?

Re: Readynas compatible memory (I blew money on useless RAM)
You apparently ordered an "SO-DIMM", which is for laptops (SO = Small Outline), not a "DIMM". Some of the smaller NASes do take an SO-DIMM, but the Pro and Ultra 6 models take the full-size DIMM. It should definately NOT be ECC and also not "high density" (2RX4), sometimes labled "AMD only".

Thanks! I’ll check the specs. Hoping to find the right fit.
