Reformatting HDD
Recently purchased Readynas DUO V2, and put the HDD from my previous Duo in the new duo. However when I tried to format the drives I took from the Duo Windows did not recognise the drive, I also used a USB to SATA adapter, but still no luck. Is there some magic formula around that will allow me to reformat the HDD?

Re: Reformatting HDD
With newer versions of Windows, right click on the "computer" icon in the start menu and select "manage" Then select "disk management" on the right hand side.
You should see the hard drive listed in the bottom pane, with several partitions shown. Right click on each partition and select "delete volume". That will return the drive to an unformatted state. You can then create partitions of the desired size and format them.
