Server is extremely slow to load
We have a ReadyNas RN10400 server, setup with a share that we use for just storing files and folders.
We have network paths from our Windows PCs to this share for file sharing.
Most times when we go into Computer and then into the network path, it takes forever to do anything. Usually it says Working on it... and the green bar in Windows file explorer loads. This can take a few minutes to open every folder we want to get into.
Weve issued the server with a static IP outside of the routers DHCP range.
Do you have any solutions for this please?
Thanks
Carl

Re: Server is extremely slow to load
What firmware are you running?
If it is 6.4.1 or 6.4.2, then check if the AntiVirus service is enabled. If it is, disable it for now. There is a serious performance issue with AV on those firmware releases (which I think will be fixed in the next firmware release).

Re: Server is extremely slow to load
Thanks very much, have just disabled the anti-virus, hopefully this is a fix to the issue.
Really appreciated!
