Slow backup to USB
Hi,
The backing up of my RN214 to USB3 disk on back port is ridiculously slow. Last time the backup job took almost 16 days and this can't be normal!!! I backup around 3,23 TB data to a WD 5 TB disk. Have tried to format the USB disk prior to starting the backup, but it makes no difference. Running OS 6.10.9 on my RN214.
Does anyone have any clue on how to solve the problem?

Re: Slow backup to USB
That's definitely excessive. Can you give some specifics?
USB drive is formatted NTFS or EXT?
USB drive is self-powered or USB powered?
Backing up using what protocol?

It would also be useful to know if the drive is SMR or not.

Re: Slow backup to USB
Hi,
The USB drive is formatted EXT and it is USB powered (the USB port in the back of the RN214). As for the backup protocol I’m uncertain, I’ve used the default values when setting up the backup job.

Hi,
